Brad Varsity: Vocal Feature

Brad Varsity (Brad Perl) is a Hip-Hop artist and songwriter from Chicago, IL. Vars, as most call him, began his musical journey in high school where he started writing lyrics in his notebook because he was being bullied by the Varsity baseball team. He goes by Brad “Varsity” to remind himself why he started music and to show that even though he wasn’t back then, now, when it comes to making music, he is on the Varsity team. These lyrics manifested into songs as he released his first record on Soundcloud in 2016. Since then has developed an ever-growing fan base that craves his unique flows, conscious lyrics, and high-energy bars.

Brad, a triplet, grew up in a wild household with his older brother and triplet siblings. His parents divorced early which caused Brad to turn to music where he would listen to Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, and Eminem. These influences grew into Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, and G-Eazy, and developed his flow into one of the more unique ones you’ll hear today. In 2019, Brad released his biggest record to date, “Love is War” with up-and coming DJ group @Cafedisko which has since been streamed over a million times across platforms and is used by Chicago Cub Ian Happ as his walk-up song at Wrigley Field. Later that year, Brad released his EP “BALCONY” a self-recorded project written while Brad was on a reality tv show “Paradise Hotel” all mixed, engineered, and mastered by him in his bedroom studio.

Brad has been dropping numerous collabs and singles since then with artists such as Futuristic, conscience, Mark Battles, Jerome The Prince, and more. 2021 is set to be an exciting year for the up-and-coming artist as he works on his debut album.
